2-Ingredient Slow Cooker Meatballs

December 07, 2020

BBQ Meatball on a wooden spoon held over a slow cooker filled with meatballs coated in Primal Kitchen Classic BBQ Sauce and garnished with chopped parsley

When it comes to feeding family, friends, or kids around the holidays when it seems as if everyone is home, in the house, all the time and searching for snacks or wanting to eat at different times, the same veggies-and-dip tray probably won't cut it for the kids and nobody wants to nosh on weepy wedges of soft cheese or cubed cheese that's wilted on the counter for hours before being stuffed back in the fridge and making a reappearance hours later.

For times like these when quarters are tight, noises are loud (and frequent), and opinions differ, agreeable food that can sit on warm in the slow cooker for hours can be the unsung angel in the kitchen. Our two-ingredient slow cooker meatballs involve almost zero percent effort on your part—simply dump all-natural frozen meatballs into the slow cooker, pour on some jarred BBQ Sauce, and let the slow cooker work to marry the two into tender meatballs blanketed with a smoky, savory, punchy sauce that are fun to poke with toothpicks and pop into mouths. Try this trick with any Primal Kitchen sauce for a snack or potluck side that's tasty, one-pot convenient, and travels well.
