FOR THE BURGER PATTIES
TO ASSEMBLE THE BURGERS
Directions
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, onion, parsley, avocado oil, 1 Tbsp ketchup, coconut aminos, dijon mustard, and salt. Mix very well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed through the meat.
Divide the mixture into 4 portions, and form each portion into a patty 1/2-3/4 inch thick. Spray patties with Air Fryer Oil Spray.
Set your air fryer temperature to 350°F and arrange the burgers on the basket or tray. Depending on the type and size of your air fryer, you may have to cook two at a time.
Place in the air fryer and cook for 6-8 minutes. Once the time is up, flip the burgers over and continue cooking until the internal temperature of the burgers reach at least 165°F.
Once the burgers are fully cooked, place the turkey burgers on the buns and top lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Drizzle with ketchup. Spread a dollop of mayo inside the top of each bun and place atop the burgers. Enjoy!
Recipe Note
- The cooking time will vary a bit depending on the type of air fryer you have. Some machines run a bit hotter than others, so feel free to reduce the temperature down to 325°F if you feel the outsides of the patties are browning too quickly.
- Don't have Primal Kitchen Air Fryer Oil spray on hand? Spray patties with our original Avocado Oil Spray and add 1 tsp garlic and 1/2 tsp black pepper to the burger mix.

Turkey burgers are the perfect substitute for traditional burgers when you need a quick swap-out. Thick and meaty, with a subtler taste than their beefy cousins, a good turkey burger leaves you full and satisfied rather than wanting more. The secret is using dark meat turkey that has enough fat to keep the burger moist during cooking in an air fryer, so avoid the common 97-99% lean ground turkey breast and reach straight for a blend that includes dark meat as well.
Prepped with our pre-seasoned air fryer oil spray, this air-fried turkey burger is ready for a bun or lettuce wrap in about 15 minutes. Top it with fresh-cut tomato, lettuce, onion, and your favorite Primal Kitchen condiments (we love ours with classic or Chipotle Lime Mayo) and serve with fries for a quick and easy weeknight dinner that puts takeout burgers to shame.
