This red, white, and blue burger oozes with flavor and cheesy goodness.
Ingredients
-
4 Tbsp Primal Kitchen Mayo
-
4 Tbsp Primal Kitchen Ranch Dressing
2 tsp blue cheese crumbles
12 oz. organic grass-fed ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
2 slices Swiss cheese
-
1 Tbsp Primal Kitchen Organic Unsweetened Ketchup
6-8 large leaves of iceberg lettuce
2 thick slices of beefsteak tomato
4 slices bacon, cooked until crisp
-
Primal Kitchen Pure Avocado Oil or Primal Kitchen Pure Avocado Oil Spray for the grill
- Parchment or food-safe paper for wrapping the burger
YOU’LL ALSO NEED:
Directions
- Heat a gas grill to high, or heat coals in a charcoal grill until they glow bright orange and ash over.
In a small bowl, combine the mayo, ranch, and blue cheese crumbles. Mix with a spoon until just combined and set aside.
Divide the ground beef into two portions and form patties. Press your thumb into the middle of each to form depressions. Season both sides of the burgers well with salt and pepper.
Brush the grill grate with a bit of avocado oil or spray with avocado oil spray.
Grill the burgers until golden brown and slightly charred on the first side, about 3 minutes.
Flip the burgers over and cook on the other side for 3 minutes for medium rare. For medium, cook the burger on the second side for 4 minutes. For medium-well to well, cook the burger on the second side for 5 minutes.
Add the cheese slices and allow to cook for another 1 minute.
Remove burgers from the grill. Place each patty on top of a few lettuce leaves. Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top, then add the tomato and bacon slices. Spoon on blue cheese sauce, then add a couple more lettuce leaves.
Wrap the bottom half of each burger with parchment paper to ensure it stays together when you bite into it. Enjoy!
