What are Probiotics?

Probiotics are live organisms that provide a health benefit when eaten in high enough amounts. Often called "friendly" bacteria, probiotics interact with the gut microbiome and may provide benefits for digestive health, immune health, skin health, and more.

Do they need to be refrigerated?

Our probiotics are specially formulated to survive at room temperature through shelf life.

Why are there only 10 billion colony-forming units (CFUs) in Primal Probiotics when other products have as many as 18 or 30 billion?

The type (strain) of probiotics will determine how much is needed to provide the health benefit. Each strain of probiotics is tested at specific CFU levels; once researchers determine how much is needed for the benefit, there is no need to consume higher levels.

How long is the shelf life for this product?

All supplements have an expiration date printed on the bottom. Please store in a cool, dry place, tightly sealed.
