Back in the day, grandma would chop up hard-boiled eggs, mix them with mayo, and place a heaping scoop on a bed of lettuce as her brunch or lunch treat. It was easy, quick, and completely satisfying—especially to the kiddos who snuck an egg-salad-laden cracker off her plate. Thanks to the viral TikTok trend, we’re starting to think Nana had the right idea with her cute-as-a-button cold plates. From egg salad to tuna, chicken, and cottage cheese, cold plates offer the perfect refreshing scoop for the hot season (or anytime, really). 

We put a modern spin on a classic egg salad recipe by swapping out the traditional mayo with delicious avocado oil mayo, adding a kick of Organic Spicy Brown Mustard, and mixing in freshly mashed avocado for good fats and rich flavor. The best thing about this deli salad plate is that it’s infinitely customizable. Serve a scoop of egg salad as a snack with crackers and crunchy dill pickles, spread on an everything bagel, or turn it into an easy girl dinner with a side of olives and veggie sticks.
