You may be wondering

What is the source of fish for the oil?

Our Primal Omegas fish oil is sourced from Wild caught Norwegian Arctic Cod.

How should Primal Omegas be stored, and for how long?

Refrigerating or freezing can prolong shelf life, but it’s not required. Each capsule includes the antioxidant vitamin E to help maintain quality and potency for up to two years with ambient storage.

How much Omega-3 do I need per day?

We recommended consulting with your healthcare provider to decide the best dose for you.

Can I get the same benefits from Flax oil?

Flax is a source of the ALA form of omega-3 fatty acid, but it is not efficiently used by the human body. Fish oil contains the DHA/EPA forms of omega-3’s, and it is these types of omega-3’s that are popular for their benefits.

What’s the difference between Omega-6 and Omega-3?

Both omega-3 and omega-6 are essential fatty acids that your body needs to sustain health, however, scientists believe omega-6 is pro-inflammatory when consumed in excess, and omega-3 is anti-inflammatory. The modern diet of processed foods and industrial seed oils like canola oil, deliver large amounts of omega-6 and not enough omega-3.

Primal Omegas provide a high-quality source of the two essential types of omega-3 fatty acids - EPA and DHA - derived from deep-water fish. Unless you're eating fatty fish often, you may not be getting enough omega-3s and might benefit from fish oil supplementation.

What’s the difference between DHA and EPA, and what is the ideal ratio?

There are two key omega-3 fatty acids: DHA and EPA. They are both readily found in fish, and they each provide common and unique benefits.  For this reason omega-3 fatty acid supplements typically contain both DHA and EPA. Because our bodies naturally convert some EPA from DHA, our Primal Omegas contain more DHA
