Don’t let the term “salad dressing” fool you. Primal Kitchen dressings don't just make leafy green salads more appealing (although they do an incredible job at that). Our dressings are made for leafy salads, warm salads, bean salads, picnic salads, and salads in jars.

They also do double duty as marinades for all types of meat, legumes, and vegetables. From chicken to steak, tofu to tempeh, and cauliflower to chickpeas, our delectable dressings impart big flavor before roasting, grilling, sous videing, baking, or air frying—whatever and however you’re cooking, Primal Kitchen brings the flavor

And that's still not all! Our dressings are ideal for

  • Dunking fries, tenders, wings, and even pizza.
  • Drizzling over protein bowls.
  • Spreading on sandwiches, burgers, and wraps.
  • Serving as dips on charcuterie boards or crudité trays.
  • Using as an ingredient in casseroles, skillets, and more.

All of our dressings elevate entrees, appetizers, side dishes, snacks, and everything in between. But we want to take this opportunity to shine a special spotlight on Buttermilk Ranch, Creamy Romano, and Tzatziki Style Dressing made with grass-fed dairy.

Grass-Fed and Full of Flavor

How to Use Primal Kitchen Dressings Made with Grass-Fed Dairy

Primal Kitchen has always been known for dairy disruption. First, we created classic creamy dressings without dairy or seed oils—just avocado oil and other real ingredients you can trust.

More recently, we introduced dressings made with grass-fed dairy from cows raised without added hormones. They blend premium dairy with avocado oil and ingredients like garlic, herbs, and spices to produce rich flavors and a perfectly pourable texture.

Here are some of the ways we’re using them in our own kitchens.

3 Ways to Enjoy Buttermilk Ranch Dressing

Buttermilk Ranch is smooth and velvety with bright, robust herbs like dill and other ingredients you can feel good about. A ranch this good makes any dish extra special.

1. Loaded Baked Potato Salad

This is not your grandma’s potato salad. Start with tender cubed potatoes, salty bacon, shredded cheese, and green onions or chives, then coat everything in Buttermilk Ranch. It’s the loaded baked potato from your favorite steakhouse made into the best shareable side dish.

2. Wood-Fired Ranch Chicken Pizza

If you have a pizza oven, try this: Start with your favorite crust, then use Buttermilk Ranch in place of red sauce. Top with chicken, bacon, red onions, and any other toppings you wish. After firing, hit it with a drizzle of even more Buttermilk Ranch and a sprinkle of fresh parsley. Divine.

3. Steakhouse Wedge Salad

Sometimes the cool, crisp crunch of iceberg lettuce hits the spot in a way that an elaborate tossed salad made with fancy mixed greens just won't. That’s especially true when it’s drizzled with a dressing that delivers full flavor from grass-fed dairy and good fats from avocado oil. Top with fresh tomatoes, crumbled bacon, and, if you want to make it even more indulgent, shredded cheddar or crumbled blue cheese.

3 Dishes Featuring Tzatziki Style Dressing

Our Tzatziki Dressing features real ingredients like grass-fed yogurt, cucumber, and a medley of herbs and spices, plus good fats from avocado oil, for a taste of the Mediterranean in every bite.

1. Chickpea Salad

Chickpeas are having a moment (hello, fiber!), but these little legumes have long been a staple in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Cuisine. One of our favorite ways to use them is as the base of a salad, taking the place of some of the greens, for textural interest and a boost of plant protein. Simply toss chickpeas, roasted or straight out of the can, with chopped vegetables like cucumber, tomato, red onion, plus feta cheese and fresh herbs. Tzatziki Dressing brings all the flavors and textures together.

2. Chicken Gyros

You might be more familiar with gyros made with beef or lamb carved off a vertical rotisserie, but we keep it simpler at home with cubed chicken marinated in Tzatziki Dressing then grilled or baked. Serve it in pita bread or on top of a salad drizzled with more Tzatziki for dunking.

3. Doner Kebabs

Doner kebabs, similar to gyros, usually start with spiced meat grilled vertically and thinly sliced onto pita bread. (Fun fact: doner kebabs are of Turkish origin, while gyros are their Greek culinary cousin.) For a fun twist, try this recipe where we turn doner kebabs inside out, ditching the bread and using the meat to hold the vegetable toppings, before dousing it all in Tzatziki.

Creamy Romano Shines in These 3 Recipes

Think of Creamy Romano Dressing as your everyday Italian upgrade. Made with grass-fed Romano cheese and other real ingredients, you’ll want to put it on everything.

1. Antipasto Salad

Antipasto salad is everything you love about charcuterie boards and chopped salads in one dish. Take your favorite cured meats, creamy or crumbly cheeses, peperoncini, olives, and artichoke hearts, add some greens, pour on the Creamy Romano, and voila—a flavor explosion in the best possible way.

2. Homemade Garlic Bread

What’s pasta night without garlic bread? Start with a loaf of french bread sliced lengthwise. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter with 4 cloves of minced garlic. Brush the garlic butter on the cut sides of the bread. Drizzle with Creamy Romano and brush evenly to coat. Bake in a 400℉ oven for about 10 minutes. Top with fresh minced parsley, then slice and serve with more Creamy Romano for dipping

3. Upgraded Smashed Potatoes

Give your favorite comfort food side dish an instant flavor upgrade by adding in Creamy Romano. You won’t believe how this one easy addition completely transforms basic mashed potatoes! Serve them with your favorite pot roast for a cozy family dinner or alongside the Thanksgiving turkey.
