Easy Coleslaw

Coleslaw really doesn’t get its due. An oft-overlooked side at spring picnics and summer barbecues, slaw pairs beautifully with everything from smoked meats to a classic club sandwich, turkey breast, or burgers. The basics of traditional coleslaw are easy: shredded raw cabbage, carrots, and dressing. There’s no right or wrong with coleslaw, though some people might disagree. The aforementioned dressing varies widely in taste and texture, with the heavily acidic vinegar-based version more popular in the Northeast and the ultra-creamy, decadent mayonnaise slaw a Southern staple.
Our easy coleslaw marries both traditions by incorporating apple cider vinegar plus Primal Kitchen Real Whipped Tangy Dressing & Spread. Made with apple cider vinegar and tangy Primal Kitchen Real Whipped Tangy Dressing & Spread, this simple coleslaw marries the creaminess of traditional Southern slaw with the vinegar-based version popular in the Northeast. It takes just minutes to put together with bagged coleslaw mix, or you can shred your own carrots and cabbage for a refreshing, summery, five-ingredient side dish.
Ingredients
12 oz. coleslaw mix (or shredded cabbage and carrots)

1/4 cup Primal Kitchen Real Whipped Tangy Dressing & Spread
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1/2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
In a bowl, combine the Primal Kitchen Real Whipped, parsley, and vinegar.
Fold in the coleslaw mix until combined.
Season with salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!
