Whole30 Buffalo Sauce Cauliflower Wings
April 24, 2020
Want a delicious dish with a little extra kick? The cousin to traditional chicken wings, cauliflower wings are a great alternative that is not only vegetarian, vegan, Whole30, and keto-friendly but also as enjoyable as the original. Our five-ingredient buffalo sauce cauliflower wings are simple to make using just a few pantry and fridge staples. All of the finger-licking flavor comes from our bold, feisty, no-dairy Primal Kitchen Buffalo Sauce—no extra garlic powder, hot sauce, or melted butter necessary.
While most chicken wings are fried in oil, these lightly crisp, totally snackable cauliflower wings are gently air-fried or baked for the perfect lighter bite. Instead of experimenting with complicated seasoning mixes, we opted to coat our cauliflower wings in almond flour and our vegan, Whole30, and Paleo-friendly sauce before cooking to give them a potent punch of Buffalo flavor.

Lightly crisp on the outside and deliciously soft on the inside, these medium-heat cauliflower "wings" are the perfect veggie alternative to the original stadium-ready favorite.
Ingredients
1 head cauliflower, broken into florets
-
1/2 bottle Primal Kitchen Original Buffalo Sauce
1 cup almond flour
-
-
Primal Kitchen Plant Based Ranch Dressing for dipping, if desired
-
-
Primal Kitchen Hot Buffalo Sauce
Alternate ingredients:
Directions
Place cauliflower florets into a large bowl.
Add Primal Kitchen Buffalo Sauce and toss to coat each cauliflower floret in the sauce (use tongs if you'd like).
Sprinkle cauliflower florets with almond flour, using the tongs to distribute evenly. Sprinkle with more almond flour so that each floret is well coated.
Spray the tray of an air fryer with avocado oil. Place cauliflower florets on the tray and place in the air fryer.
Bake for 20 minutes at 400ºF, checking the florets every 5 minutes after they've cooked for 10 minutes and shaking the air fryer basket.
Remove from air fryer and plate with sliced celery and carrots. Serve with Primal Kitchen Plant Based Ranch Dressing.
Recipe Note
If you don't have an air fryer, follow these easy oven cooking instructions:
- Preheat oven to 450ºF.
- Spread the coated cauliflower florets out onto a lined baking tray.
- Bake for 30 minutes, turning halfway.
