Primal Burger and Three-Condiment Secret Sauce
June 04, 2018
Burgers made with grass-fed, organic meats are a savory staple of any Primal, Paleo or keto diet. Served atop crisp lettuce leaves or low-carb, gluten-free buns, a burger is satisfying and filling enough to last you through most of the day. But a burger without condiments is just... sad meat.
We brightened up the meaty flavor of our basic Primal burger with a mouthwatering "secret sauce" made with three of your favorite classic, cleaned-up Primal Kitchen condiments. A step above traditional Thousand Island dressing, this sauce is made with equal parts of rich, creamy mayo, honey-sweetened ketchup, and mustard. Pair your saucy burger with crisp fries or lower-carb avocado fries for an unforgettable, All-American meal.

Directions
Spread 12 oz. of ground beef out on a baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper, and then toss the meat back together gently.
Grab half the meat, and lightly move it from hand to hand until you form it into a ball.
Pat the ball into a disk back on the baking sheet, so that it's about 3/4 to 1 inch thick.
Repeat steps two and three with the other half of the meat (so that you have two patties).
Preheat the grill to medium or medium-high heat. Oil the grate with Primal Kitchen Spray Avocado Oil.
Grill the burgers (flip when the meat once it releases from the grill grate without sticking, or after about 5 minutes).
Remove the burgers from the grill, and place them onto lettuce leaves or gluten-free buns.
To make the sauce, combine equal parts mayo, ketchup, and mustard in a small mixing bowl.
Spread sauce onto patties. Add toppings and serve!
