Once they’re soft, use the bottom of a clean cup or glass to smash them into discs.
On a baking sheet, lay out the “disc-shaped” sprouts, and drizzle with avocado oil.
Season the sprouts with salt and pepper, and roast at 425 degrees fahrenheit for about 15 minutes, or until crispy.

Curious about this totally trending veg? Here are answers to make your first foray into cooking Brussel sprouts extra-delicious.
Are Brussel sprouts a superfood?
Cruciferous vegetables like Brussel sprouts, broccoli, bok choy, cabbage, cauliflower, and others are often considered by many to be “superfoods,” based on their chemical compounds. Cruciferous vegetables are especially favored in ancestral-minded diets like Keto.
Do you need to soak Brussel sprouts before cooking them?
For this recipe, washing and removing any brown or wilted pieces from the spout is sufficient before boiling or steaming them.
What foods go well with Brussel sprouts?
The beauty of Brussel sprouts is their versatility! Like cauliflower, these veggies can be dressed up or down with your favorite condiments, sauces, or dressings. Try pairing these crispy bites with other appetizer favorites like Buffalo Wings, or serving them with a crunchy, fresh Rainbow Salad.
