Pizza Night Four Ways
Who doesn’t love pizza? Being gluten-free or paleo shouldn’t stop you from enjoying this amazing culinary masterpiece. Thankfully, Outer Aisle offers an amazing cauliflower pizza crust that we love–it’s nutrient dense and non-GMO!
Did you know that cauliflower is a great source of Vitamin C and antioxidants? Pair a killer cauliflower crust with protein, healthy fats, delicious veggies, and some gorgeously green Primal Kitchen Extra Virgin Avocado Oil, and you’ll never look at pizza the same again. Seriously, trust us.
Here are a couple of awesome recipes to get you hooked!
Pesto Tomato Pizza
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup pine nuts (or walnuts)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- Black pepper
- Himalayan salt
- 1 lemon
- 1 cup heirloom cherry tomatoes
- 1 cup micro greens
- 1 Outer Aisle Cauliflower Pizza Crust
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- To make the pesto: Add basil leaves, parmesan cheese, pine nuts, garlic cloves, Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and a good pinch each of Himalayan salt and pepper to a food processor. Blend until smooth.
- Brush on Primal Kitchen Extra Virgin Avocado Oil to the top of the Outer Aisle Cauliflower Pizza Crust.
- Add on top a thick layer of fresh pesto.
- Arrange sliced heirloom cherry tomatoes on top.
- Cook the pizza for 5-8 minutes, or until the bottom of the crust has browned.
- Scatter the top of the pizza with micro greens, and drizzle on a few more lines of pesto.
- Enjoy!
BBQ Chicken Pizza
INGREDIENTS
- Roasted and shredded heritage chicken
- Paleo BBQ sauce (Learn how to make Mark Sisson’s favorite in our Primal Kitchen Cookbook, available June 2017!)
- 1 red onion
- 1 ripe avocado (sliced and sprinkled with white sesame seeds)
- 1 cup of arugula
- Primal Kitchen Extra Virgin Avocado Oil
- 1 Outer Aisle Cauliflower Pizza Crust
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Brush on Primal Kitchen Extra Virgin Avocado Oil to the top of your Outer Aisle Cauliflower Pizza Crust.
- Top the avocado oil with a thick layer of Paleo BBQ sauce.
- Slice the red onion into thin slices.
- Halve and slice the meat of the avocado into thin strips, and sprinkle the avocado slices with white sesame seeds.
- Layer onion slices, avocado strips, and roasted heritage chicken onto the cauliflower crust.
- Bake the pizza for 5-8 minutes, or until the underside of the crust begins to brown.
- Top off with a layer of fresh arugula.
- Enjoy!
Avocado Pizza
INGREDIENTS
- Guacamole
- Avocado (sliced and sprinkled with black sesame seeds)
- 1 bunch of watermelon radishes
- 1 hard boiled egg
- Cilantro
- Primal Kitchen Extra Virgin Avocado Oil
- 1 Outer Aisle Cauliflower Pizza Crust
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Brush on Primal Kitchen Extra Virgin Avocado Oil to the top of your Outer Aisle Cauliflower Pizza Crust.
- Slice the watermelon radishes into thin pieces.
- Spread on top a thick layer of guacamole.
- Add on the watermelon radish pieces, and (sliced) hard boiled egg.
- Bake the pizza for 5-8 minutes, or until the bottom of the crust has browned.
- Add on a few fresh sprigs of cilantro.
- Enjoy!
Roasted Asparagus Pizza
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 bundle of asparagus
- Black pepper
- Himalayan salt
- 1 cup of goat cheese
- 1 bunch of watermelon radishes
- Primal Kitchen Extra Virgin Avocado Oil
- 1 Outer Aisle Cauliflower Pizza Crust
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Cover the asparagus stalks in Primal Kitchen® Extra Virgin Avocado Oil, and sprinkle on black pepper and Himalayan salt.
- Line up the prepared asparagus stalks on a baking sheet.
- Roast the asparagus for 25 minutes, or until the stalks have become soft, but still tender.
- Brush on Primal Kitchen Extra Virgin Avocado Oil to the top of the Outer Aisle Cauliflower Crust.
- Spread on a thick layer of goat cheese.
- Slice the watermelon radishes into thin slices, and the roasted asparagus into bite-sized pieces.
- Arrange the watermelon radishes and the roasted asparagus onto the top of the pizza.
- Bake the pizza for 5-8 minutes, or until the bottom of the crust begins to brown.
- Enjoy!
